We both have busy full-time jobs. Sharon works for the NHS and Brendan runs his own carpentry company and is also a retained Firefighter, a role he has done for 42 years. We have 2 grown up daughters, our eldest is married and has a baby daughter and the youngest has just qualified as a Nurse and along with her partner, are just about to buy their first home together.
We have ‘camped’ with the girls all of their lives and have had many wonderful family holidays in our caravans both at home and abroad. We started off holidaying under canvas but that came to an end after a very wet and windy summer holiday in the Lake District that lead to us visiting the Caravan Show at Earls Court and purchasing our first caravan which was a little Abbey Piper, we then went on to an Abbey Oxford and then to a GTS Vogue which we had for 14 years before we traded it in for a modern Bailey Unicorn Cadiz series 4.
However in 2021 we decided to change from our Bailey to a Motorhome to give us more freedom and started to research what we thought would be the perfect one for us and after making a list of wants and don’t wants and using our years of caravanning experience we settled on the Bailey Adamo 75-4l as we thought that it had everything we wanted and when the opportunity came to visit the Caravan and Motorhome Show, in October 2021 at the NEC Birmingham we jumped at the chance. Alas Covid put paid to that idea and the show was postponed to February 2022. However when we got to the show and went in what we thought was going to be our dream Motorhome we were very disappointed and spent the rest of the day looking for the perfect one and finally settled on the Bailey Adamo 69-4, we hadn’t even looked at this model on the website but we almost instantly fell in love with it and ordered and signed on the dotted line, there and then and eventually after a 12 1/2 month wait, picked it up on 11th March 2023.
Naturally the Motorhome had to have a name and we did think of calling him Bill or Bert and even Adam but finally settled on Bertie.

So now you know who we are, why not follow us on our adventures. Our plans so far consist of a leisurely drive along the ‘The Atlantic Highway’, The Scotland 500 and Pub Stops, all things that would be difficult if not impossible to do with a caravan.
But first we are starting with a tour of Wales this year, plus some other cheeky little trips.
Oh and look who arrived in the post this week!

He’s already been out supervising the polishing of Bertie and checking himself out in the wing mirrors.
